Algerie going from a former champion to contender to egg sandwich maker for danny jacobs is one of the more random things ive seen

Random or not, the transition easily put a couple more decades onto his time in boxing, if that's what he wants to do, without having to get physically damaged to do so.

No different than seeing Joel Casamayor or Joan Guzman or this next crop of fighters who were good/solid champions, heading back to their home gyms to try and guide fighters from their area through there dreams.

He's not making $500k a go, but if he becomes that guy for Jacobs, Sullivan Barrera, fighters that he's come across out at Virgil Hunter's gym, and fighters in Rozier's gym in Brooklyn, and the other folks who become interested in the work that he does, being the nutritionist could be the full-time gig.

$50k+ a camp (or whatever a top-flight nutritionist goes for), with an easy 10 camps a year (depending on how things stack and where fights line up), and Algieri is basically earning what he would've gotten in a year of fighting
