I think he stops Hatton and it might be early. Hatton still comes in chin 1st and he's easy to counter, just like Magee & Callazo did
Why is it that people talk about being countered by Magee and Collazo without EVER mentioning that they were southpaws, like it isn't a factor? So he's got a MAJOR problem against southpaws, we know that... even Sugar Ray refused to fight Southpaws. (Not, before anyone says it, that I'm suggesting Ricky Hatton is a boxer in the same league or style as Robinson )

Hatton has been fighting at a higher weight all his career, and there's no reason not to assume that Chico is (understandably) damaged goods after his last showing. Maybe the layoff will help, but I see Hatton winning this one by mid round stoppage.

For once the Brits will be right when they say their man will win against a fellow p4p star and with shocking ease.

People do not seem to undestand what kind of beating Chico took against Castillo in 14 rounds of brutal combat. Chico suffered a bad concussion, as well as agonizing pain to the body. If Chico was a 10 before he met Castillo, he is an 8 now. Jose knocked him down two notches.

If Chico fights Hatton, he will lose badly. He will be slaughtered. The real fight that needs to happen is Castillo vs Hatton. That will be competitive. Whatever Chico would do well against Hatton would only be short-lived bright spots on the way to the inevitable KO that he would suffer.

for hattons sake this fight should be at 147. at 140 he gets his ass kicked. chico has a 6inch reach advantage and no telling how much more power when he goes up in weight and fighting without suffering dehyderation.chico walks around at ltmiddlewt. chico buggs me with bad habits like keeping his hands down, not using his heighth and not fighting successfully on the outside, but hatton is not a castillo.and even tho he's bigger than castillo i dont think hattons excellant footwork is enough to damage corrales. unless corrales gets sloppy. corrales has a good trainer but he needs someone to knock some sense into him about basic boxing skills(ie. keeping your hands up)etc.

i do think hatton has underrated defence. it seems the norm to immediately underrate a come-forward fighters defence. you'll find many of them do have a good defence but given their style they are going to get hit. not only that but when you've got a guy on you like armstrong, hatton, frazier etc guys punch back faster, harder and more to keep them off. if you let your hands go you are gonna hit something. however this results in such fighters getting to their opponents later in the fight when they've forced them to unload too much.

look at hatton v tszyu and maussa. both unloaded big time in attempt to stop hatton. they had some success but not consistent. in the end maussa landed 10% yet people make out like he was painting hatton.

look at frazier, there were times he made ali miss 5, 6 punches in a row. ali was on him early but this made him tired later in the fight.

the greatest swarmers such as hatton and henry armstrong are always in punching range (unless hatton is moving in and out with his feet which he has done when needed) so they are going to get tagged here and there, but they make themselves difficult to hit clean.

He said the whole time that he wanted the winner of Chico-Castillo but I guess all that was talk and he really just meant that he only wanted Castillo because he hasnt mentioned Chico's name since then.

He wanted Castillo because he fights just like Hatton but Ricky new that he would be bigger, stronger, and faster then Castillo at 140. He doesnt want Chico because he has a difficult style and he knows that if he runs in on Chico with his chin 1st and hands down like he always does then he could get hurt.

He named all these fighters and he talked about how good he would still be at 140 but yet he's going to fight Urkal at 147? Either fight one of the guys you named, give Callazo the rematch, or move back down and fight Chico. Its pretty simple to me and no one is easier to make a fight with then Chico, and he would even go to England to fight him
wow....hatton wouyld KO that boy real quick like....im talking early rounds...

we'll see (If this fight ever comes off) Corrales will get dragged into a brawl and stopped late

**** man ... i know hatton likes to fight his fights ... but this one ... chico at 140 ... i dunno, that right hand or left hook, and he'd be punching down to whats basically a dwarf ... i REALLY like chicos chances in this one and the fact that chico can step back while reeling off a vicious left hook - i didn't vote for this one, but its not an easy fight for either fighter.
