Al Haymon is backing this fight. The money is there. Hearn has never been apart of a 9 figure fight. Accept the offer.

"I accept you offer, now what"
That's how you call a bluff. How hard is that? Hearn is wasting time and his flunkies eat it up wholesale.
Did Hearn send proof of funds and a contract with his offer? No, so what's the problem?
Did his groupies make a fuss over that? No. They simply told Wilder to shut up and accept a deal WITH NO SPECIFICS. All Hearn revealed was the money amount. No date, venue, ref, judges or fingerprints.
Now Hearn wants all these details in a contract BEFORE he accepts the most important sticking point.. Which is money. Why do people keep falling for his bullsht? He has a spell over these flunkies.
In early 2010 Floyd and Manny agreed to weight, money split, venue, gloves, ring size.. Everything except drug testing. There was never a contract drawn up because of ONE sticking point that was never agreed on.
In this instance the biggest hurdle is money. AJ revealed his desired amount. Haymon/Finkel obliged him. Now its up to him to say "I accept your offer".. And then you sit down to draw up contracts which will be a breeze because all AJ said he wanted is $50 million and he'll sign SAME DAY.. his own words have him cornered.Comment

I don't talk to Haymon or Finkel. I'm not important enough to be worth their time. But I've dealt with people on their teams enough to know how they operate.
Because there's no sense in going over the details if Hearn will never accept 50 million under any circumstance.
All Hearn has to say is "I would need to see the details, but yes we would accept 50 million if the details are worked out to our satisfaction."
Then they can sit down and start hammering out the 500 things you have to address when making a fight. Things you're never going to waste your time addressing if there isn't a mutual understanding about the money.
I presume Haymon and his accountants, lawyers, whatever, will have worked out the details, yeah?
Deas says, "The money is there"... so he must know where it is, yeah?
It's ludicrous to say that neither he nor Haymon have the time to meet up with Hearn and give him an outline of those details, and tell him where the money is, or where it would come from.
Making fights is what Haymon and Deas do for a living. It's their business, their vocation, their job to talk to guys like Hearn. And He's practically standing outside their office, asking to talk to them about making the biggest fight in world boxing!
And they won't talk to him .. because it might be a waste of time ... Really?Last edited by kafkod; 04-28-2018, 05:00 PM.Comment

[QUOTE=peakbay;18717444]Hearn said interested, but never actually said he would accept if the offer is real. He's trying to leave himself wiggle room to ask for even more money. Finkel & Haymon aren't going to fall for that.Comment

It does make sense because that's literally just about how every deal is done. There's an offer, there's an acceptance and the written contract spells out the consideration. There's really no harm in saying "we accept." That does not make any legal obligation until the contracts are signed. It's just an offer sheet. It soells out the basic terms before the intricacies are ironed out and the lawyers get involved. I do this on a daily basis. Hearn is really gassing you dudes who don't get it.Comment
