Hearns basically said I am interested in your offer so lets meet and discuss the details of the offer. That is the way business is done on a fight of this size. He can't just blindly agree to a big cash offer without knowing every detail. Details such as where the fight takes place etc. By putting a 24 hour time limit on the offer and refusing to meet and discuss the details team Wilder is making the offer sound like a BS publicity stunt and it worked on you. The offer is not real in my opinion.

There's no amount of words that can convince me that refusing to meet with the other promoter is a positive step towards making the fight. If it wasn't for that move, Hearn would be looking a fool...but now he can just say "look, they won't even meet". Not sure if this was some strong arm negotiating tactic or what.
