Because the asking for 50 mil was a bluff as well as the "let's roll" nonsense. AJ should have caught the first plane to NY and called their bluff if he thought it was so. Eddie is going to end up being a promoter that no one wants to co promote with or be promoted by if he doesnt straighten up.

Reading this, it sounds like Eddie is just straight ducking right in front of everyone, hoping they won't notice. The bizarre thing for me is that wilder fans are defending the fact that they won’t have a meeting. Eddie already emailed saying there interested in the offer, please send a draft contract. Joshua has already said he’ll accept 50 million. It was already well publicised a deal with breazeale was already signed and now breazeale confirmed yesterday they have a contract for a fight in August with wilder.

I’m not really sure how we can really assume wilder was aiming for this to be anything other than a publicity stunt.
