With the cancellation of the meeting and this charade going the way it is, its all a show. The ridiculous behaviours, the inability to sit down and talk? These people are in the business of making money, Wilder is supposedly getting a huge pay boost at last, It's all a joke, the fight will happen in the end. They'll both fight again before it happens at least once. Wilder vs Brezeale, Joshua vs probably Povetkin.
There's paydays to be had and they're not about to forgo the biggest fight.
Very cute of you to call me a casual when you're getting all amped up over a bit of spin and hype.Last edited by Reverb; 04-27-2018, 12:02 AM.Comment

What's being asked is that AJ confirm he would accept the $50 million purse IF the other details are satisfactory. If AJ says yes, then you sit down and work out the other details.
But if AJ isn't willing to accept $50 million even if the other details are satisfactory, what is the point of sitting down? If he's not going to accept the money no matter what the details are, why would you bother working out the details?Comment

Nobody is asking AJ to make a binding agreement before sitting down.

And until this week, Wilder has been in tiny fights- a fraction of little Joshua fights.
Joshua must be the one who makes a Wilder payday suddenly go from 2.5-50 overnight, because Haymon and Finkel were there all along behind Wilder.
They're all just messing the media around with the hype show. Instagram responses aren't anything , it's all too silly.Last edited by Reverb; 04-27-2018, 12:41 AM.Comment

The problem here appears to be Finkel and Hearn clearly don't like each other and as such this has become a pissing contest between the two of them which is getting in the way of this fight being made.
Finkel really did not need to set a 24 hour deadline on agreeing the deal as the reality is the deal would need to be agreed within a few days anyway due to the upcoming Povetkin purse.
Hearn is letting his ego getting in the way by asking for proof upfront rather than just accepting that everything is above board on faith and equally Finkel is letting his dislike of Hearn getting in the way by not simply humouring Hearn and agreeing to a face to face anyway... he really wouldn't lose much.
Hell all they would have to do is just get Hearn to agree to the money aspects there and then go into the details. It's ****ing simple but the ego of all of these is stopping a really simple meeting from happening that could near enough guarantee this fight gets made. It's ****ing pathetic.
Hopefully Haymon steps in and gets a meeting made and they all thrash out a deal.Comment

Didn't Joshua already somewhat agree on twitter?

The last year , Hearn has gone out of his way to disrespect Finkell anytime a mics in his face acting like he’s a irrelevant POS not a man that’s a HOFer and been associated with the biggest fighters and has been involved in some of the biggest fights in the last 30 years
Won’t even call him by his real name constantly talking down to him just to get a laugh and amuse his flunky fans
Why would/should Finkell treat him with any respect and give him the time of day
They offered everything plus more that AJ wanted now either accept the offer and start the negotiations with Hearn holding no power or decline and make excuses.Comment
