Proof that if you tell yourself something enough times, no matter how ridiculous, you will start to believe it.

Wilder was favored fairly wide over Ortiz it was considered a risk, Joshua was favored over Klit it was considered a risk. That's two recent examples.

I think Loma-Linares is somewhat of a risk too going straight to the #1 lightweight who holds a size advantage.
I disagree. While there is always risk in any fight, Loma was favored to win and should've won. It was a miscalculation by Bob. I do agree with Dramashow that it helped Loma more than it hurt him.

Yes they were but the situations are not the same. These men are younger than Loma and do not have his vast experience.

You know how Bob builds his fighters. He makes a number of 60/40 or 65/35 fights for his guys. The risk is slight. No where near the 90/10 risk most of us see a Tank/Loma fight right now.

Truth is that Tank would never mentally recover from the embarrassment that he would suffer vs Lomachenco and it's best for him to keep draining to 130 and just not mention the fight at all.

You will see the difference between how Bob grooms Shakur Stevenson, or what Floyd does with Tank! Even Devin Haney is on the fast track! What kills me is how all these Loma fans expect Tank to be ready for Loma at 23, yet Loma was still an amateur at 23! Was Loma a scared bit*h because he wasn't ready to rock with the big boys until he was 25?

And Loma doesn't need Tank to be a star either! But the difference is, Loma actually believes in himself, and knows he's the real deal unlike the hype job that is Tank, so he wants to prove he's the best by fighting the best available guys around his natural weight. Tank and his team, on the other hand, know Tank is overrated, and that he would lose badly, so they just want to follow the Mayweather blueprint of cherry picking and relying on the ignorance and racism of the particular subculture of "boxing fans" who support boxers like that to skate to stardom in boxing without actually ever having to fight any top opponents in their primes, and without doing any 365 drug testing, just like Floyd, Wilder, Ward, and many others before him in this watered down era of boxing.

Great. Can't wait. Loma said he'd keep his WBO junior lightweight title. They can fight there and unify.
