Does AJ deserve credit for beating Povetkin if Lomachenko didn't for beating Rigo?

Lol you and your obsession with povetkin. He weighs 230 and isn't that short, he hits as hard as anyone and knows how to get on the inside with head movement. You read way too much into size, especially when it's heavyweights.

        simple mathematics bro
Being '2 weight classes higher' isn't simple mathematics. Simply because, that's too vague a description! Being 22 pounds heavier or being 7 pounds heavier is 'simple mathematics'. Being 9% heavier or 5% heavier than an opponent is also 'simple mathematics'.

Joshua has 22 pounds of weight advantage over Povetkin. Whilst Lomachenko had 7 pounds of weight advantage over Rigondeaux when they fought. So perhaps explain whether Joshua or Lomachenko has more of an advantage over their respective opponents?

220-230 is also widely believed to be the sweet spot for heavyweights.

D- troll thread. Stick to whining about golovkin.
The difference between Povektkin and Wilder is that Povetkin has far more body fat whilst Wilder is lean with much less body fat. Hence, Wilder has more FUNCTIONAL weight than Povetkin. Despite both weighing roughly the same.

So what do you vote for and why?

I'm asking a question in a thread / poll. Which option do you select?

Povetkin arguably has the punching power of a cruiser weight / light heavyweight. I admit he is extremely skilled with great accuracy and timing. Unfortunately, those attributes are not enough against giant elite super heavyweights. He's better off competing below heavyweight in my opinion. Because he lacks physical strength, size and punching power which are all the most vital characteristics to be an elite heavyweight today. We saw how physically weak he looked against Wladimir Klitschko.

Having said all of that, I am indeed a big fan of Povetkin though.

He's getting credit for "ummm, I really meant 70 million though" right now. That should be the focus....

What a peculiar poll. Every fighter deserves credit for defeating a viable opponent. The issue with Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux was not weight or age so much. It was the fact that Rigo, who was before considered a highly skilled fighter, had nothing to compare to the skill level displayed by Loma.

Should Joshua get full credit for defeating roid-less Povetkin, the same Povetkin who barely survived Chambers and Huck? I think this is a better question as Povetkin has fought heavier men than Joshua.
