Floyd vs Connor sold more then anybody in any era. He's the biggest draw period saying canelo is only the face by default because he retired is just ******. Fact is Canelo already proved he can draw millions of PPVs without GGG. GGG isn't the draw here if he was he wouldn't of moved his fight OFF ppv and moved it from MGM to cheap azzz stubhub where his tickets still ain't selling by the way. Tyson lost how many times and was still a huge draw. Broner has lost how many times and is still the biggest draw on Showtime. Oscar lost and drew higher PPV sales. Manny got put in a phuking comma by Marquez and fought Floyd 5 years after he was no longer in his prime with losses on his record during that time and the fight still made more money then any fight in history at the time. You can wish and cry about all you want but Canelo will still be a massive draw and sell with or without GGG.

I know Canelo has a huge following. I also know Golovkin is not the draw of the two. I actually think Oscar has done a great job marketing him. But you can't seriously think he's not benefiting from Mayweather being retired. Even if he's still a draw his peers and the fans will forever see him as cheater. Legacy isn't only about drawing power.

Incidentally, I think the winner of Joshua/Wilder (especially if it's Joshua) will surpass Canelo in a year or two.

Canelo sold 1M by himself last year in the chavez fight. lol Before canelo Chavez was fighting on Bein Espanol and hadn't fought on PPV in half a decade when he fought Sergio which only drew 400K buys a fight he lost. Without Canelo Chavez doesn't fight on PPV again. He lost on showtime against bum Fonfara in a fight that didn't high ratings. And showtime turned down his fight before Canelo that's why it was on Bein Espanol a channel most folks don't even get in the US. So yeah Canelo was the one selling those PPVs. Canelo's worst PPV ever did what 2-3X GGG's biggest PPV without Canelo. Canelo has sold more then 5.5M PPVs to date WITHOUT GGG. GGG has sold 97K-150K depending on the source you want to use in his only 2 PPVs. GGG needs Canelo not the other way around. Which is why he put his entire career on pause and fighting a bum Vanes just to beg canelo for a paycheck in sept.
