He might try but i think that would of been his game plan the first fight but Hurd kept walking him down with alot of pressure.
I think Hurd stops Lara if we get another.
    WAR HURD.

The main winners of the re-match is the fans.
I think an immediate rematch is not an urgent matter but if there's one, I would not complain either since IMO it's still be an entertaining fight that makes the fans happy.

The fight was decided in the last minute of the 12th round.
Brian Castano has been the WBA "Regular" Champion @ 154 since 2017! Lara lost to Hurd. Lara should not get a rematch before Castano gets a shot at the title, so let Lara fight Castano for the right to face Hurd! If you haven't seen Castano vs. Vitu, you need to do that ASAP!

It was a close fight, and a good one too. I'm surprised to see a rematch called though.

              October 29, 2017:

The WBA’s stated desire to reduce the number of belts in play has been...inconsistently enforced, to put it kindly. They’re still making an effort, though, and ESPN reports that the sanctioning body will order “Super” super welterweight champ Erislandy Lara to face “regular” champ Brian Castano.

Lara (25-2-2, 14 KO) has feasted on the middle ranks of the division since his split decision loss to Canelo Alvarez in 2014, with Ishe Smith and Vanes Matirosyan being the most significant victories in his current six-fight streak. He was last seen winning a snoozer against Terrell Gausha.

At 34, he really needs to start fighting quality opponents sooner rather than later.

Castano (14-0, 10 KO) might or might not be one. After winning the interim belt in a back-and-forth slugfest with Emmanuel de Jesus, Castano took a massive step up against Michel Soro and won a decision on the latter’s home turf.

He was promoted to standard champion when Demetrius Andrade moved to middleweight.

It’s not Jarrett Hurd or Jermell Charlo, but I suppose there are worse fights out there for Lara, and at least this one takes a belt off the table.

After Soro, Castano beat the brakes off Cedric Vitu in France! This fight is overdue! Lara vs. Castano! Make It Happen!

The only thing Lara gets out of a rematch is another paycheck for a well deserved retirement after another worse beat down.

                Lara is yesterday's news.

Same body that let Lara defend his title with a long line of bums for 2 years.
They want it given back to Lara.
You got your head in the wrong place....This fight is being ordered cuz it was exciting & it $ells, duh. They want to get what ever $ they can get from Lara while he is still active. It keeps Hurd in the loop since he will lose to Jermell or when he decides to move up it weight....

Hurd will destroy Lara in the rematch. Not sure why a rematch is needed other than for sadistic purposes.

Don’t hate the rematch, but much prefer to see Hurd vs Charlo first ! I think that will be a down right war...winner moves on to rematch Lara or meet Golovkin or BJS.. needs to happen like that. Hurd and Lara both need a one fight separation
