Yeah, but this offer was made came directly from the fighter in an email (not his management) without a legal contract attached. It's a lot more money than any other fight being made this year, so yeah, I think anyone would ask if he actually has the money.
The difference is it's not a purse, it's a financial guarantee so he has to prove the money is available and not that he is going to try and find the money if AJ signs up. Anyone could do that, you could offer him $100m and then try and sell tickets and sponsorship, but it doesn't mean by pay day you have AJ's funds. They're not dealing with amateurs, these guys know what they're doing.Comment

Heavyweight world titleholder Deontay Wilder and his team made a counter offer via email to unified titlist Anthony Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, on Wednesday for a much-anticipated undisputed championship fight, Shelly Finkel, one of Wilder’s managers, told ESPN. Finkel said they offered Joshua and Hearn $50 million against 50 percent of revenue the event would generate, meaning Joshua’s side would make no less than $50 million and could earn much more if the fight generates the $100 million Finkel said Team Wilder believes it can. Finkel said the offer contains no rematch clause and that it stipulates that the fight be next for each man and take place between September and December at a site of Wilder's choosing. The offer was a counter to the $12.5 million flat fee Hearn offered Wilder earlier this month.
When will Wilder learn; listen, boy, you don't DICTATE SHYTE!
You take what is offered to you!! You a chump!Comment

This in theory is a better deal for Matchroom than they offered. Will AJ give Wilder the choice of venue though? It has to be Las Vegas so that stipulation is mute. They can't give him $50 million then fight in front of 4,000 in Alabama.Comment

Well I think Hearn might be keeping it real when he say's he's been told the Brazeale deal is already done for Wilder, which means they also have to budget some step-aside money for Brazeale into their calculations.Yea, Wilder would rather fight Brazeale. Exactly. If the fight does less than 50 million after expenses, then they ain't gonna give him the guaranteed 50.
they gonna say "so sue us, good luck."
And sure Joshua would prolly win, but after half a decade of litigation.
Usually a guarantee involves giving that fighter at least HALF of the money up front before the fight. That is a true guarantee.Last edited by Cheek busting; 04-25-2018, 09:32 PM.Comment

If you actually made an offer and were willing to sign a contract to pay him $500 million, no I guarantee Wilder would fight you.
You have been hit in the head way too much. Just deny the truth when it proves you are a typical AJ asslicker that is not in touch with reality.
No offense, but you are honestly showing signs of brain damage. Early symptoms of CTE. For real, you might want to consult a doc.Comment
