Comments Thread For: Team Wilder Send '$50 Million' Offer To Joshua For Unification

An interesting deal, with unknown moving parts.
$50m guaranteed, but a 50/50 split of the fighter take on the fight, with the fight set for the end of the year.
If I had to guess, MGM Resorts are hosting the fight, the fight will be PPV in the US and on Sky Box Office in the UK.
Depending on the promoters coming together on a deal, both should have fights in the early summer with Joshua's next fight (the defense against Povetkin) happening at Barclays Center and Wilder's next fight (Breazeale or Dillian Whyte at this point) happening in Alabama. Both fights should happen close to each other and before August (put Wilder's fight on CBS, and use Joshua's US debut to gauge the Sky Box Office numbers).
With everything all the revenues considered, $70m-$75m is a reasonable guess at the take for the fighters; Joshua gets $50m, Wilder gets $20m-$25m, and the talk of the rematch gets going for Kentucky Derby weekend in May.Comment

The IBF ordered Joshua-Povetkin on March 31, they had 30 days to negotiate. It's coming up to 30 days, Wilder needs to send a contract to sign NOW or Joshua will have to fight Povetkin. If that contract isn't sent within a day or 2 it was nothing but a PR move by WIlderComment

I just heard Hearn live in NY .....you are so wrong.
He said 'lets see the contract' see if the offer is real....stop being ******.Comment

Wlad was training for Fury the entire time .
The ORIGINAL Joshua vs Klitchko fight was for Nov. 2016 .
Two guys arent going to stay that long of inactivity on purpose and think they will be at their best . Their going to fit a fight in somewhere if it takes place in December .Last edited by juggernaut666; 04-25-2018, 06:16 PM.Comment

Yeah .... Sign that contract that we'll send you on Friday... BTW, it has to be signed on Thursday... Otherwise you're doomed...
Jennifer still has a lot to learn about business as we can see...
BTW, what's with that 24 hours ultimatum ? Pitiful ...Comment

What they're saying is that AJ gets 50% of the income, with a guarantee that he will get no less than $50million, whatever the fight makes.
So if it makes $120 million, AJ gets $60million. If it only makes $40million, AJ still gets his $50million and Wilder gets nothing.Comment
