Lmao ok promoter of the year. Why you always talking like your word is law? I’m sure Lou DiBella and Haymon have way more experience than some blogger named Chris. Only a ******ed person would say “Wilder's $50m offer leaves him fighting for free essentially“Well, I just schooled you in the other thread with facts and then you tossed in the towel. Maybe discussions like that give me belief in myself.
The fight isn't a $100m fight.
The gate is a max of $10m and PPV is a max of $30-40m based on facts and other gates, PPV's as a reference. Where's all the other money coming from and do you think the venue, promoters, etc; aren't taking a cut?
Why tf would they submit an offer that would leave Wilder with no money you ******?Comment

You're not wrong. He can have Brits thinking whatever club level fighter they're hyping to the moon this week is the real deal. When Eddie Hearn pisses on an englishman's leg, they come on nsb and talk about how great a promoter Hearn is.Comment

Wait! Are they offering 50m straight up or against what the fight would make? Because that is two different offers. From fat Dan:
Heavyweight world titleholder Deontay Wilder and his team made a counter offer via email to unified titlist Anthony Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, on Wednesday for a much-anticipated undisputed championship fight, Shelly Finkel, one of Wilder’s managers, told ESPN. Finkel said they offered Joshua and Hearn $50 million against 50 percent of revenue the event would generate, meaning Joshua’s side would make no less than $50 million and could earn much more if the fight generates more than the $100 million Finkel said Team Wilder believes it can. Finkel said the offer contains no rematch clause and that it stipulates that the fight be next for each man and take place between September and December at a site of Wilder's choosing. The offer was a counter to the $12.5 million flat fee Hearn offered Wilder earlier this month. Hearn confirmed to ESPN he has received the offer.
Sidenote: all you fgts saying breazeale is next can stop with that bull**** now alsoComment

If his team is putting that kind of money up he should choose the venue. Hearn was trying to big boy Wilder by talking about how much more they made in the UK. Haymon came back and showed Hearn who the real boss is.Comment

Joshua team makes no less than 50mil and if fight generates more than what they projections are he earns 50% of total pot, Hearn was saying fight only worth 40milComment

What's wrong with that... Wilder is the one making the 50 million offer. When it was AJ and Hearn, they wanted the fight in the UK. And I'm ok with the no rematch clause. Either fighter who wins could go on and fight someone else or if it's a good close fight, negotiate another fight.Last edited by filup79; 04-25-2018, 05:45 PM.Comment

WOW, didn't realize Wilder could find that kind of backing. Good for him!
As for Hearn, they need to accept or it's a blatant duck. This is a good offer for both of them. Only thing they're giving up is Wilder gets to pick his battleground.Comment
