Name some of these top fighters of tf the generation he fought during there primes and ill rank them for ya haha. Actually dont waste my time. I stand by what i said. Seems like all boxing purist have a grip on this. Maybe you can catch up. Old news. Again not really discrediting the guy, he means something to certain cultures and thats fine with me, actually great by me. Lets not go thinking berto, guerrero and ortiz are hearns, duran, leanard etc. Thats just silly
The thing is, if you were around and watching Floyd when he fought Corrales, you would know just how big a deal that fight was. And it wasn't because of Floyd. "Chicanito" was a big deal bro, I'm sorry.

You said it yourself - "hindsight". You're comparing things after the fact. That's your right. But at the time, PBF was fighting the best that was available, and calling out many others that ducked him at the time (Mosley, Hamed, etc). Judging him on "Money" is faulty - the majority of his in-ring greatness was before 2009 and those he fought, with few exceptions, can't be dismissed as anything other than solid opposition given the times and those who didn't duck him.

I mean the promotion acted like it was something special but like i said
Anyone who was watching boxing then knew corrales was way overmatched. Like i said go back to the fights before that mayweather fight. And ok but when i look at his resume i just dont see these guys you talking of. Either way it notta big deal to me. I proud of what the guy did for himself. Boxing is hard as hell. Im in a boxing gym 3 times a week and just watching those kids work hard give me a kind of respect for any boxer who actually builds up into a known name. I just dont overblow the resume like some ppl. He is world class for his generation though. Good for him

        You're entitled to your opinion.

People can watch and form their own opinions based on what they see and think. There are tons of people who can only name off Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Tyson, Holyfield and Ali as "greats" - while completely ignoring the Willie Peps, the Lennox Lewises, the Michael Spinks's, the Joe Fraziers, the Larry Holmes, the Rid**** Bowes, etc. of the world.

But there's one measure that isn't subjective. How many world champions did Fighter A beat?

Currently, and for the foreseeable future, there are only two names that really stand out under that criteria: Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Oscar De La Hoya (who Floyd beat).
