Nobody will even care if he does hit 50-0 or beyond if all he does is keep fighting mediocre opponents. The remarkable thing about Floyd's record is all the world champions and big names that he beat and how impressively he beat them, not just the fact that he reached fifty victories without a loss. Hell, others have reached beyond that before (Julio Cesar Chavez being the biggest example.)

So number of wins isnt all that if the opponents have been garbage.
Some top10 dude could just have the mission to retire at 55-0 and fight bums until he is done.

The better number to compare is championship fights probably. It's still not 100% accurate, because good fights can happen outside of championship fights or some abc belt shenanigans prevent someone from getting a belt early or someone gets stripped for some weird reason, but if you hold a belt for a long time, chances are you have to go through some tough competition or voices get louder to unify belts.
