    Winky says rematch is possible

Got this from ESPN boxing boards.

"He was just on the local news here in St. Pete saying how he would consider it if the next one isn't so close to Arkansas. I figured he wanted one, he was just really p1ssed off last night."

good news... and yeah, i don't blame him.. its just a natural immediate upset reaction, it's tough to have the kind of style he has that's not the "most pretty" to judges.

Unless the judges were mentally retarted, then no, your totally wrong in every aspect.

no need for a rematch, i felt taylor won a very close decision, so did many other people, winky wants to go on with other fights then move on and challenge calzaghe and get your ass kicked. as for taylor, i didn't like his conditioning in the fight, and from his comments he still can't tell when he has a fighter stunned/hurt. and where the hell was his jab, when he used it it worked for him. and i understand his startagy about going to the ropes and counter off winky, but either winky is faster then i think or taylor doesn't like to get hit by winky, cause he was supposed to punch in between winkys shots and he refused to, instead he wanted to throw clean counters without getting hit and thats what ****ed him up. he had winky stunned a few times and and i have no idea why he backed off maybe conditioning. also if he was in better conditioning or maybe he don't know what to do in certain points in the fight, he should have keep coming forward or just plant his feet and stay their punish winky as he was doing at times and he was getting the best of winky and breaking winky dumb defence.

everytime taylor hit winky even if he hit gloves winky was feeling his punchs and they hurt winky as winky then would try to weave to side to side. taylor won and if winky wan'ts a rematch good if not then move on and winky can go to super middleweight.

all that writing can be summed down pretty easily... you're a Jermaine Taylor fan, it's called bias

I had it 115-113 Winky, but lost respect for him when he showed that unsportsmanlike conduct. He's trying to be like that ***** Vargas who just walks out the ring when they're unsatisfied with the outcome.

Winky originally said in the interview that he doesn't want a rematch. I hope Jermaine doesn't give him one. Winky can go back to Europe for all I care.

Some fighters are more emotional than others.. get over that.

Taylor is just not good at countering Winky, period. Winky's fast hands and southpaw style annoy Taylor. Winky definitely had the faster hands. But Taylor was not threatened by Winky's power, so he felt ok just letting Winky tee off on him sometimes. Taylor alluded to this after the fight with his answers to Merchant's questions about why he stayed in the corner.

In the rematch (which needs to be held in a neutral spot like Vegas or Foxwoods) Taylor needs to be wary of camping out in the corner, regardless of whether or not he feels Winky is able to hurt him.

                    Additionally, Taylor needs to:

                    1) Keep his left hand up high to block Winly's jab.
                    2) Don't abandon the body attack, which was working when Taylor wanted it to.
                    3) Throw more combonations in general.
