Would taking out Mikey seal it or would you need another champion?

I'd be pretty damn impressed if he were to beat Linares then Mikey this year.

Pac, though frankly it wouldn’t impress me as much as beating Mikey at this point but I’m afraid that’s just how it works.

He is going to the hall from what he has done already. The Hall of Fame is not that hard to get into. Ray Mancini is in the Hall of Fame and other boxers not as good as Loma. Wins over Linares and Mikey would make him an all time great in the minds of many.He is probably the best amateur boxer in history or at least one of the very best. He is heavily favored to win his third weight class world title in a record few fights as a pro. These accomplishments will be remembered. If Linares beats him maybe he won't make it but that seems unlikely. The betting places have him a 5 to 1 favorite to win.

If he beats Mikey, then he's 3-division with GRJ, Walters, Rigo, Linares and Mikey with two Olympic gold medals and a 396-1 amateur record. If that doesn't get you in, I don't know what does.

Names matter regardless of other factors. This can't be denied.

I think he'd be secure with just a linares win... especially if Jorge quit too... that would be a hell of an accomplishment to make 3 top guys quit. We'll see how he does going up 5 lbs, I expect more of the same from him though.

If he beats Linares he's already in there let's face it. 396-1 2 Gold Medal amateur career. (Tied) least bouts to 1st title, least bouts to 2nd and 3rd division and already some good scalps and great skill shown.

He could retire after May 12th and he's in. If his next 4 years are just as good he's an all-time great.

He needs Mikey on his mantle and that's one of helluva scalp and a fight he could absolutely lose and get knocked stone cold stiff in!

IMO, it's Mikey and that's it, making Rigo quit is the cherry on top but beating Mikey decisively would do it for me or moving up and beating a legit 140 champ!
