Maybe he feels guilty or pressured? Maybe he doesn't know if he will be back in time to avoid getting stripped and is doing this to save face? He has enough clout to get right back in the mix when he's ready, so it's probably better for the division that he drop it. Now there will be one less obstacle in the way of Porter/Garcia/Spence fighting each other.

He'll have a tune up, then fight the winner of Porter-Garcia for the belt I imagine. Hopefully he fights Spence first half of next year. I'm cool with that.

But w/e I guess its good he's not gonna sit on the belt. Let Garcia & Porter figure it out. That hopefully cuts one of the of the Thurman rematch situation + makes a Garcia/Porter vs Thurman vs Spence situation become more likely hopefully...but I'm not holding my breath cuz they showed lil desire to figure out who's the best 147lber previous to now so I don't see that changing on a dime tomorrow or anytime soon.

The WBC is a disgrace. They never forced Adonis to fight anyone and they would back Canelo even if he injected testesteone out in open during their conference. I won't complain about Danny and Shawn fighting though

Now he can sit back and let ERROL Spence knock off the winner of Danny v. Shawn. Keith doesn’t have to fight any of these dudes anytime soon as none are ranked in the WBA. He can be a paper champ and talk about being the cash cow and not rush to fight high level opponents. The WBA will allow Keith to sit on his belt as a super duper champion while PAC and Lucas fight for the regular belt.

Once Crawford wins the WBO, we’ll have 4 champs. Hopefully these dudes fight each other.

"One Time" ain't been one time for a long time. Last guy he KO'd was a shot Julio Diaz, back in April of 2014.
