I miss the 80s and the Trinidad era.

Tito was the man. The most entertaining fighter in the world at his time and also the most willing to take on challenge after challenge.
His 1999-2001 run was daring to be great and it only started so late because King neglected him after 1994's great run. That whole time he was trying to fight Whitaker, Norris, Quartey etc;Comment

In fairness Tank looks like a deer in the headlights almost anytime he gets asked questions. I don't think he's comfortable with a lot of this interview sh^t still. I think he was one of those special ed cats in school so all this talking in front of people sh^t ain't really his thing, but obviously thats part of the deal now.
But I don't think anyone is scared of anyone. You don't get very far in boxing being scared of other mfers. You don't get better avoiding guys better than you. You don't learn by being in their with guys better than you. Etc & so on.Comment

All this talk and threads ive seen of Loma-davis is ****** as ***.
Loma is heading into his toughest fight to date against Linares so why da *** are peeps talking about Davis?? That sht is gonna backfire on Loma.
Im just beyond stoked about my boy Linares facing Loma..Comment

Yes indeed. Tito was special. Wish they kept him at 154 to unify and get oscarina there. Then move up to 160. As for the 80s. So much talent, so many great fights.Comment

So lets recap. Loma fans wanted Loma to fight Tank despite them knowing Tank wasn't ready. So they killed him and Floyd for saying he wasn't ready.
Now Loma fans are mad that Tank is now willing to fight Loma and that Floyd went and discussed with Todd Debouef and TR.
Come on guys make up your minds.
Loma is still the better fighter. Tank with a little more exposure and experience makes the fight more competitive but IMO still loses.
Why are you guys mad that you could be getting a fight you called for?Comment

But Tank isn't willing to fight Loma, he keeps making excuses. Tank doesn't have to fight him, Loma has bigger fights at 135. The point is Loma's response of the excuses nothing more.So lets recap. Tank seems willing to take the fight when he feels he has the best chance to win. We know Floyd and TR have discussed the fight. Tank is going to get some more experience under his belt before he tries to fight Loma.
Frankly, that makes sense given the wide gap between them as of now. Tank isn't the best 135 lber right now, not even close, he clearly needs to show he can beat a top 135 lber before he fights Loma.
I can't see how anyone would have a problem with that unless they are Loma fans who only want the fight at the point where Tank has no shot to win.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 04-25-2018, 09:20 AM.Comment

I don't care if Loma fights him he gains nothing from it since if he wins he beats a fighter who has a **** resume. Loma said the same thing you said let him beat a 135lber with a title then he will fight him. He's already 30 and is taking the first step with Linares time to try to unify 135.Tank seems willing to take the fight when he feels he has the best chance to win.
