You are spot on , Tank is not ready to fight Loma right now.So why fans are calling for this fight right now is beyond me .This can be a great fight if it can be a competitive fight that will not happen right now.Comment

We've seen this story before. Lomachenko refused to moved up for Walters so Top Rank shelved him until Lomachenko was ready. He wasn't ready for Rigondeaux so Top Rank exiled him until Lomachenko was ready. Tank said he wasn't ready (while his promoter was making phone calls to make the fight) and we're back to Lomachenko demanding Tank move up to make the fight. Now we have the Lomachenko fans saying Tank is ducking when Lomachenko is now the one making additional demands. Lomachenko was moving to 135 regardless. He already knew the fight with Tank was a long shot when he called him out. Now that the fight is possible he's moved on. As a fighter, Lomachenko is one in a million. As a business man he's more of the same.Comment

LMAAOOOOO this is funny. Walters was fighting at 130 and not shelved while Loma was at 126. Walters shelved himself when he didn't take the Lomachenko fight when first offered. He also pulled out "sick" of a HBO fight the year before in March. Rigondeaux had been gone from Top Rank and was not willing to even mention going up to 126 for anyone at that time. Not until RNS couldn't get him any fights and he was desperate did he start calling out Loma's name. We've seen this story before. I think the whole Tank V Loma thing is more alive with the fanboys than it is with these two. They're not in the same weight class, they don't need each other right now. Fans just can't resist arguing about this though so I don't expect it to go away.Comment

Also worth noting that Walters turned down a fight against Lomachenko for about $200k less pay than what he accepted. We've seen this story before. Lomachenko refused to moved up for Walters so Top Rank shelved him until Lomachenko was ready. He wasn't ready for Rigondeaux so Top Rank exiled him until Lomachenko was ready. "Lomachenko is one of the better opponents that we're gonna fight," Walters told ******.com on Tuesday. "We asked for a certain amount; they said no. They said only $550,000 was available for the fight and I think fighting Lomachenko for $550,000 with the tax we're gonna pay to the government and everybody, we actually go home with nothing. We took the decision; we're not gonna fight for $550,000."
Also worth noting that Rigo turned down about 250-300k more than he eventually made against Loma when offered the bout at 126. There's video of Rigo and his team admitting as much. It's been posted on here a few times. Rigo also being "exiled" for the purpose of Loma being ready is garbage too. Rigo was dropped by Top Rank before Loma had even won a title. What nonsense. He was rejecting fights and collecting rust by being a stubborn bonehead.
Both those dudes took less money and ended up getting embarrassed.
Lomachenko isn't really making "additional" demands. He said he'd fight him next Mayweather and Tank said not now, now that Floyd said he would do it Tank has gone from saying "it's not a good idea", to "I would only do it on PPV". I think those look more like these additional demands.Last edited by chrisJS; 04-24-2018, 06:31 PM.Comment
