Biggest thing here is that regardless of whether GGG takes the rematch, is that Canelo enlists in that year round random VADA testing. That'll help Canelo clear up his image a little, but will also tell the truth for him in the future, good or bad.
But I definitely see boxing fans out there pressing for the year round testing within the next week or two if he hasn't enrolled yet. That's a fun thing in the boxing community; they can cause a stink and shine a light on something, which PED's in boxing has become a HUGE talk since this happened. Wilder gave it some tailwind, but this has blown the conversation wide open.
It seems like he and his trainer are saying without saying that Canelo probably doesn't get a rematch. They feel like the deck was stacked against them from the start with "trying to age him out before they'd take the first fight", the judges, and now the failed test. Someone else above made an interesting comment about it's rare the guy with the belts has to chase the contender for the fight, but I don't think Gennady needs the money now. He got what, 10 mil for the fight, not to mention his last 6 or 7 fights have probably been in the 1-2 mil range, so he's not hurting.
He's still undefeated (and feels he won the first fight), so he'd be within his rights to fight this Vanes character and then go for unification with BJS. With the way the UK fans come out, those two may be able to pull a Froch/Groves and fill a stadium a time or two. UK fans would definitely respect that bombs away style the Golovkin fella comes with.
You took the words straight out of my mouth.
Was asked a simple straightforward one line question and his response was a whole book..... But he isn't thinking about Canelo.
Stop the roadblock and fight any/some of your mandos like you always did or get that last belt from Saunders like you said you wanted to do.

Yeah. Let Clenelo qualify and take a a split like a mandatory. GGG doesn't need Clenelo any longer.Comment

I support you. Infact Canelo should have been banned for a whole year, that way, life would go on in the middleweight division.
Here is the problem, the middleweight champion is the one chasing Canelo to come get a title shot. That is what is getting most boxing fans pissed off.Comment

Get out of here. He beat him clearly in the first fight. He doesn't need Canelo anymore for his legacy. Canelo needs him unless he wants to go back down to JM and risk getting caught again because he can't make weight without the Clen.Comment

are you sure about that ?

Weekend Review: Biggest Winners and Losers of 2017:
"Golovkin waited his entire career for big fights and then fell short when he got them, struggling to beat Danny Jacobs and settling for a draw with Alvarez"
FACT: Golovkin did not beat Canelo
FACT: many believe he did not beat Jacobs either
Golovkin's most notable fights both have asterisks
also..... the Ward duck will haunt Golovkin lolComment

Golovkin: Canelo Rematch is a Priority For September
