this is not even official, boxrec has it listed as a fight, but that doesnt mean anything, there has been no articles or news about this.
If it happens I take Wlad by KO/TKO within 5 rounds...Comment

of course you take wlad, you'd take wlad over king kong via first round kayo. Briggs ko in 2 over wladOriginally posted by Leo Pradunthis is not even official, boxrec has it listed as a fight, but that doesnt mean anything, there has been no articles or news about this.

All against crap opposition. The only recognizable name on his last 11 wins had his walker taken away from him just before the ringwalk. Ray Mercer's prime is long past.Originally posted by badbloodBriggs has shown you 11 straight KO's.Comment

This is the first I've heard of this. This is a very interesting matchup.Klitschko looks like the fighter he was pre-Sanders and most consider him the best heavyweight in the division now with his wins over Peter and Byrd.I've heard that Briggs is more focused on his career now than he ever has been before. This seems like a make or break fight for either.Wlad is the better boxer without question but his chin is still an issue. Not getting ko'd by Peter who has a ton of power but little boxing skill doesn't mean you have an iron chin all of a sudden.Briggs isn't the most talented fighter but he has power and a better chin. This one will be interesting no matter who wins.Comment

As much as I root Briggs on for this "comeback" he is making, I think it has been totally overrated, and definitely a product of good promotion by his promoters. I mean lets be honest, Briggs hasn't beaten anyone of note lately, his best opponent as of late was an over the hill 45 year old Ray Mercer, whose claim to fame at his peak was a questionable decision loss to Lennox Lewis and getting totally outclassed and embarrassed by an old Larry Holmes. Also, Briggs last opponent Chris Koval was a club fighter at best, it looked like they pulled this guy out of a bar, and offered him to fight Briggs in exchage for beer. Lets be real here, if this fight does indeed take place then Briggs is getting an undeserved shot at a title, furthermore Wlad does not deserve any praise for taking this fight(a fight that should be a very easy fight for him at that), however I would be happy for Briggs to get a final big payday.Last edited by La_Vibora; 06-19-2006, 12:57 AM.Comment
