Oh, STFU, I thought we rid the forums of your "oh boxing was so much better back in these days" types.

There are just as many awesome fights now as there ever was, and there will continue to be.

    Twitter provides hilarious MENTS

Not surprised another day and Fat boy dan who is respected by nobody get's into a twitter war with a fighter or promoter again because he is unprofessional as shyt. And in this case he is in the wrong. He is trying to say Spike begged for the fight then got scared and backed out the deal. Spike was offered the fight for almost 1m agreed to all the terms and was waiting for GGG to sign. Then they come back and sliced his money in half and he said hey phukkers this ain't the same deal you gave me. I am willing to jump in last minute and get my azzz kicked but not for 400K. lol

Fat Boy is leaving out the most important fact. When you agree to somebody else's deal and the other side changes the deal drastically and you say no that's not what we agreed to that's not backing out. Even Loeffler himself acknowledges the money situation once they pulled it off PPV they had no money to offer. For comparison for how shyt this money is look at the purses from this weekend Jesus Cuellar who the B side opponent for the 3rd fight on the Broner/Vargas Showtime undercard was paid 350K to move up weight coming off 16 month layoff and a loss. Yet these cheap bastards wanted to pay only 400K for a opponent for GGG on 2 weeks notice no less? FYI reports are Spike was offered more to fight Lemieux (both have stay busy fights coming up if both win they will fight each other or if GGG fight not made in Sept probably fights Canelo). I have no clue if 400K is the most spike has made or not but that is shyt pay and not what they first offered him.

Another example Dominic Wade another Bum GGG fought was paid 500K to show up and get his butt whooped. And GGG was accused of being cheap and fighting bums years ago yet they offer even less and basically the same as 3rd undercard fighters on showtime?

I agree with you for the most part. Fat Dan was trying to talk slick about Spike, when all Spike did was say "that's not the deal I agreed to, sorry I'm out."

Maybe he doesn't think the risk is enough for 400k?

Maybe he can fight on a few undercards for less money now, only to parlay that into a BIGGER FIGHT in a year or two??

So yeah nothing wrong with what Spike did - agreed to terms he was offered, but when found out it was gonna be a PPV and new offer was half, he said "thanks but no thanks."

The funny thing is GGG is doing EXACTLY what Spike is doing but Fat Boy Dan tried to twist it. Once Canelo fight died GGG could of made MORE money by fighting Saunders, BooBoo, his mandatory or anyone of the better fighters that raised their hands. He passed on those fights to instead fight a bum Vanes on Regular HBO for a "fraction" of the money he could of made to stay busy and secure a bigger money fight against Canelo in Sept. Spike passed on shyt money now and is instead fighting a bum stay busy fight on May 4 to secure a bigger money fight later this year against either Lemieux, Canelo or maybe even Saunders (he owns a regional version of the WBO which is why he is ranked highest by the WBO and that belt he has will eventually get him a mandatory shot at Saunders or whoever owns the WBO).

Found another bum GGG paid more money for, Rubio was paid 450K to fight GGG even after Chavez and Pavlik already beat him. lol This was a shyt offer and half what they originally offered. Let's be real this is a mismatch he ain't beating GGG but he just wants to be paid fair. If you a so called star like GGG you should be paying more then 400K for your opponents. Tank just paid 350K for his.

Well, yeah, he did post the facts as they happened, but did so in a tone/manner that made Spike look like he did something wrong, or something that he should be looked down upon for..

All Spike did was say "no sorry I signed for a different deal, I don't think this is the best move for my career right now."

Not like he pulled out of the fight he signed for - when he found out the money was halved - whether or not it was the best move it doesn't matter - Spike was no longer obligated in any way, shape or form to take it.

Dan knew what he was doing - trying to draw vitriol to Spike and cover for GGG..

So then why did GGG who has been calling out Saunders for his belt turn down a offer to fight in June for all the belts and more money then he will be making in a Vanes fight? Or does the truth only apply to some fighters and not GGG when they make business decisions? At least Spike agreed to all GGG's terms to fight and only turned it down when GGG tried a bait and switch cutting the money in half from the original offer. What's GGG's excuse for fighting Vanes for fraction of what he could of made with Saunders? Both sides are trying to secure the biggest paydays and taking easy no risk fights for less money in May banking on bigger money later.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of GGG, but I agree that this is a perfect assessment of the situation.

GGG doesn't want to risk that Canelo rematch, yet still wants to collect a few million.
