So why would he fight him now give up his almost guaranteed manditory status and get paid peanuts to fight Golovkin? He already under a contract to fight someone else.

No bubble has been burst I like them both. My point remains valid. Everyone in the division wants the Canelo vs ggg winner. They are both mandatories and what do you want the winner to do, fight them in a triple threat match?

Saunders aside no one else in the division offers much at all they are all in need of a marquee win so instead of sitting around fighting bums hoping they’ll get next they are better off fightng each other. There’s Charlo, murata, Andrade, drevyencko (sp) they need to make some noise and fight each other. Make themselves unavoidable for the winner.
