Call me crazy but i believe Povetkin is a legitimate test for Joshua.

He'll offer more of a challenge than Parker did.

      this is not new info
He's clearly open to it since he has repeatedly talked about waiting for a counter-offer that hasn't materialised.

If he didn't want to negotiate a better deal then he would have made it very plain that there is no room for counter offers. What he's actually said is "I've heard nothing from the other side"

He's not going to send a new offer just because they haven't replied to his previous one. They need to get this **** moving.

How's that relevant to what I was saying? Soft hitting Bryant Jennings stopped him anyway

Eddie Hearn, who promotes IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs), has no intention of paying more than $12.5 million to WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs).

you can be a light puncher and beat people/get stoppages because of the accumulation of punches no?

Honestly what does that have to do with anything? Povetkin beat price with ease. Wilder struggled with szpilka. Get over it

Don't pretend szpilka is anything better

Na offering a fighter a flat fee of BS rather than a percentage of the revenue when more is on the line is ducking.

Is that supposed to be compelling?

A statement from a guy who just made an offer that he doesn't intend to go beneath that offer?

How about Wilder saying 50/50 or no fight... did that show no intent to negotiate? Or does the fact that he's now changed his position suggest that statements of intent to stick with an original offer might not always be gospel

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) believes he could blast out IBF, IBO, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) in one round. At the moment, things are inching closer for a fight between Joshua and WBO champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) for a unification date in early 2018. The date would likely fall in March or April.

If Hearn is saying that he's waiting for a counter offer NOW, doesn't that suggest that he's open to counter offers NOW?

Look, I'm a fan of Wilder, I just wish he'd get this **** done because I want to see the fight
