Name the Fighter That Beat Your Hero

One of my heroes in the boxing world growing up was Roberto Duran.

    Thomas Hearns crushed him.

    That was a tough one.

What fighter crushed a fighter you admired?

OMG, I can't imagine being a Duran fan and watching that fight. That was one of the most brutal beat-downs between two ATG fighters that I've ever seen.

I can think of a few heart-breaking MMA fights but in boxing, I'm coming up short. I don't get hyped about too many current fighters. I love some of the past greats, but watched all their fights long after they happened.

        Floyd fan so lulz.

Really though, I was always big on Cotto so watching Margarito and PacMan crush him was hard to watch. I knew Rigo would lose to Lomachenko so that didn't sting as much and the quitjob was more embarrassing than anything.

I would say Holmes vs Ali, watching it now I feel like getting in there and doing real damage to Holmes. But Tyson did a minor revenge for "us", my anger towards Holmes is so deep that beatdown Tyson gave him is not enough.

In recent times? Pacquiao vs Horn. Another fighter whose names starts with a "H". Doesn't matter if he truly won or not, Pacquiao was bloody, looking so old and exhausted in the fight. Worse, Horn won't stop talking. Can't wait for the total annihilation of Horn by Crawford.

Oh forgot this one. I didn't watch the Cotto vs Pacquaio fight cuz I knew what would happen. Infact, I watched it like a year or maybe 2 years later.

I'm a Floyd fan but I felt bad when Floyd was dominating Cotto during the first 4 rounds. Lol.

Definitely Trinidad vs Hopkins. B hop throwing the flag and all of PR wanting his head. I think the island cried on 9/29.

I have to throw in Marco Antonio Barrera losing to Junior Jones, too. That one hurt. I thought Barrera was indestructible. Of course, in the long run, I think it forced him to add new levels to his game.
