Comments Thread For: Eddie Hearn: Khan & Brook Want To Bash Each Other Up

AMIR KHAN blasted away Phil Lo Greco inside a minute on his return to boxing. The former unified super-lightweight world champion was on the comeback trail after nearly two years away from the sport. Khan, who had featured in the past, during his hiatus, on the I'm A Celebrity TV programme, was in action over 12 rounds at the ECHO Arena in Liverpool, exclusively live on Sky Sports, against Phil Lo Greco on Saturday.

Two real fighters with a track record of taking tough fights. If only more fighters were like them.

This fight is a hell of a lot less attractive than it was a couple of years ago

Yeah sure, Kell Brook takes the tough fights...

            Ducked Bradley to fight Saldivia
Didn't fight Pacquiao when Pac was Mandatory
            Didn't fight Alexander twice
Has one decent win in his entire career (Porter)

He shouldn't get credit for fighting your mandatory, in Spence.

Khan, however does take tough fights so he gets credit from me. But he looks far better than he actually is. He can be timed easily, as we have seen before with Garcia and Canelo.

This is the only fight I have interest in for either guy. Make the fight Eddie.

Neither can do anything with the guys at the top of 147 or 154 (with the exception of Sadam Ali lol). They're made for each other.

Khan will want Brook back down to 147 when he himself fought at 150 last night. He knows Brook can't do 147 especially now having moved up and at last seems comfortable with the weight.Khan will demand around 70% and again find every excuse not to fight Kell.

I think Khan hates Kell so much he really doesn't want to have him involved in any kind of money fight but knows too that Kell would ice him and he would have absolutely no where to go.

If these guys are to fight then both will have to prove next time out that they deserve an enormous payday by fighting really quality opposition . I simply can't see Eddie risking this especially with Khan as like all of us know whenever Khan steps up he gets iced.

Yeah porter golovkin and Spence were real easy.... he didn't have to fight Spence either, could have stepped straight up to 154.

Wait, you're giving credit to Brook for fighting his mandatory (something all champions should do -- unless the mando is terrible)?

I gave credit for him beating Porter, although that's his only good win in his 13 year career.

He also deserves credit for fighting Golovkin.

But you can't deny he has had hardly any tough fights in his career.
