A 7-5 win for Vargas would have been legit... A draw is a win for Broner and that Julie Lederman's 115-113 for Broner is total BS... Stop whining "*****"* ... You showed you still had it and somehow you should just enjoy the moment and move on ...

*Broner uses that 20 times per sentence...

I thought Vargas won and did so relatively comfortably in terms of rounds won. Broner is done. Once Khan cooks him up, he may as well retire.

I wonder how much time he would need for a Thurman.
Heavy favorite??? Link??? Because the fight was betting wise almost even money... Depending on which Casino it was back and forth who SLIGHTLY favored.

A again show legit link on the "HEAVY FAV"

Dont need an official link. i do not track betting sites.
Boxing forums are enough for me.

The prevailing sentiment on most forums including this one assumed Jessie would not only take this but might actually stop AB and be the final nail in AB's coffin.

Some even went so far as to say he would not last the distance let alone be competitive.

Not only was it competitive, Broner actually did a number on Jessie no matter who you and i thought deserved the decision.

Jessie looked like he had been mugged.

But then again this is the net/forum where posters develop amnesia when the outcome of a fight is not consistent with their prior stance.

And i cannot even stand AB. Not my cup of tea. But i call it as i see it IN THE RING.

And yes he had more than adequate time to prepare for someone most assumed he would steam roll.

Vargas won the fight. Broner hasn't changed, still fights in spurts. His corner was yelling at him to let his hands go. Broner has a good chin and quick hands but doesn't put in enough work. Vargas is not a power puncher, so Adrien should have fought more aggressively. If he can't put pressure on a guy like Vargas, he won't be able to put pressure on anyone with a KO% higher than 60%. I don't know where Broner goes from here outside of a rematch with Vargas...who will likely have a better training camp next time around (not just 7 weeks). Broner won't be able to compete with any of the top tier guys at 147, and there is little to no money at 140 to catch the interest of the casuals. I think he'll need to explore that Khan option if he wants to see any more 7-digit paydays.

Casual fans. But gamblers and ppl with $$$$ instead of an opinion had it 50/50 fight.

Who would I trust more?? A guy with an oppion?? Or someone willing to put $$$ where their mouth is???

The crowd was shouting AB at the start of the fight. By the end they were booing him. Should tell you all you need to know.

Vargas was DESTROYING Broner’s body and jabbing him to death. Broner just had the size on him and had a little more pop than Vargas did. Had Vargas winning by 2 or 3 rds.

Well for sure that was not the kind of performance he needed to change the narrative on him. Talented kid that just could not get to the next level.
