Vargas won IMO 115-113 but a draw is reasonable. I thought Granados beat Broner a little more clear cut.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I just don't recall Jesse having that look before.

Not a good look, on anyone I should know, but on a professional sportsman... So I get where you're coming from

Yeah that's what I saw too.

It's a pity the judges can't knock points off for Broner behaving like a **** in the post fight interviews though. That would've been hilarious.

For a fighter who had stopped Saddam Ali and came a whisker of stopping Timothy Bradley with a solid right had in each case, the prevailing feeling was Broner would do well to last the distance.

To see Broner walk him down was a bit of a surprise.
So yes in MY eyes he was "exposed".

I still think he is solid.

Except for the multitude who were already writing Broner's obituary and even said Broner would be stopped.

Either Broner is grossly underrated or Vargas is grossly overrated.

And Broner is not even my cup of tea.

Now i am really wondering why Thurman passed up on Vargas as a come back fight.

Still a fan of Vargas though.

                Nice and respectable young man

If anyone said Vargas would stop broner, they clearly know nothing about boxing. Vargas was not exposed at all. Peoples knowledge of the fighters was.

People can say whatever they want about Broner, for the better or worse, he isn't afraid to just let guys rip shots on him. He's shown great durability and toughness.

Vargas on the other hand looked the opposite. It just goes to show the Pacquiao fight wasn't a fluke. He simply isn't very durable. I'll say Broner has better power than people think. Regardless Vargas is doing the right thing being a more puncher-boxer/brawler, it's just probably not going to work out for him being he got to where he is being something else. A quick cautious boxer-puncher. There's also some things you have to be born with. One of those is durability and he for some reason to me doesn't look physically up for the task at welterweight.
                    Agree on all points.

7 weeks?? Couple days a week rehabbing?? Finding good sparring partners, etc.???

I think he did pretty good. Props to both Bronernamd Vargas.
                      Imagine that!
A PRIZE FIGHTER taking a fight on SEVEN weeks notice!!!

And being made the HEAVY FAV...

I wonder how much time he would need for a Thurman.
