Taylor hits plenty hard, he was just punching at targets that were experienced at not getting punched flush in his last two fights, vs Hopkins and Wright, both could be considered the best defensive wizards of the sport, many consider Hopkins above Mayweather in terms of defense.

yeah, taylor was moving wright around last night, but I expected that. I expected the natural light heavyweight to move around the naturally smaller wright. Wright never once was hurt in that fight though and it wasnt because of an amazing chin, earlier in his career wright was dropped 5-6 times by a bum. His chin is ****, his guard is world class and thats what saved him vs Taylor, many, many of taylor's huge bombs were absorbed by wright's wrists and hands, and arms, wright is so skilled at covering up those vital areas. I'd have to say Wright has the best shell defense ive seen in watching the past 20-30 years of boxing, i bet wright placed a few milly on a draw and did that in the 12th on purpose, the payout would have been amazing for him...

Prime Mike Tyson's shell D was nothing to sneeze at either.

Taylor hits hard, but some of him moving Wright around when he'd block has to do with him just being a bigger stronger guy than Wright.

Taylor is just huge and broad-backed...him moving Wright around wasn't a case of Taylor being some smallish guy with dynamite fists.

The "bum" you are referring to is Julio Cesar Vazquez...one of the best 154 pounders of the last handful of years. Nobody has a good night with him.

I could have sworn it was illegal to bet on yourself on a sports match... I was impressed at time with Wrights defense but sometimes he was just standing and leting the punches crash against his arms and occasionally go through. It would have been smarter for him to move a little while holding the guard. Also why the **** didnt anyone in his corner tell him to circle to the right when Taylors eye closed?? He could have attacked him from the side and hit without any problems but instead he stood infront of him the last couple of rounds.

Last thought, Wright, if he was a bigger man would have handed Taylor a defeat. I think this shows that Winky lb/lb is the better fighter.

Good points, but you saw Wright's head snap back a few times.

Taylor committs to the punch and the last person I saw snap Wrights head back with a punch was Mosley.

Well yeah, anyones head will snap back when a moster like Taylor is sitting there unloading on his guard and getting a few punches through.

Okay, time to give my props to Taylor on a new thread.

Well the eye was CLOSED because of a headbutt, there were about 12 of them throughout the fight.
However, it was swelling up becuase he kept his left hand down and had no answer for Winky's jab.
