    2008:
Defeated Rakhim Chakhkiev in Russia at age 22 (Chakhkiev would win Olympic gold later that year)
Won Bronze at the Olympics at age 22

He packed a lot into a short period of time just 2-3 years after picking up the sport. Very impressive.

Wilder's am career was a life time ago and if his best achievement is still a bronze well then...that says a lot.
Wilder has as many wins over top-5 rated heavyweights as Joshua (2).

He won a few minor tournaments in the U.S because they had nobody else at all same reason he went to the Worlds where he didn't even make it past the first round. He then went to the olympics getting a number of bs decisions in his favour during the trials in fact he arguably lost every fight but the amateurs are even more corrupt than the pro's and they needed someone to represent the US.
He got another gift decision vs the Moroccan in the olympics but they put him through so It'd guarantee America a medal then he was easily handled by Russo.

Ajs best wins are Wlad, parker and takamatsu, add in whyte too who is now no. 1 for a belt.

Wilder holds wins over stiverne, arreola and ortiz... That's not even on the same level.
