Ok I'd just heard HBO turned the fight down and I didn't pay attention to it much after that. But my point is Sergei was willing to take short money for GGG. Even Tom said that. The reason he'll take the short money against GGG is because he's wants the belts and the recognition. He doesn't get that from fighting Andrade for less money.

We always talk about guys wanting ridiculous money to fight GGG but here's a guy who was willing to take short money for the opportunity.

Loeffler didn’t mention how much money HBO paid to air Golovkin’s return May 5, but multiple sources have informed BoxingScene.com that approximately $1 million will be paid to help cover the purses of Golovkin and his opponent.
