Even if Derenyanchenko was willing to take short money, why should Triple G be short-changed for a mandatory situation?”

uuhhh??? I thought GGG wasn't about da "Buisness" side???
No GGG fights for a sack of potatoes, wtf. He is not some doping phagot who fights 2 times a year all juiced out. GGG is a star, Alvaroidz is suspended and his stock is down, so he better get paid proper! He paid his dues mfers should line up to get in the ring: Derevyachenko, charlo, andrade. GGG is running this ****

Postponing the date jeapordizes the Canelo rematch. That is still the end goal here guys. Alaverez in mid September. You try and push the fight back to June and that jeapordizes the fight that people actually WANT to see, which is Canelo. And for what ? So he can fight a mandatory nobody cares about ? What your guys are saying really makes no sense at all. The ONLY smart thing to do here is to fight a chump on May 5, stay active, guarantee a win, and move on to a he big fight in September. Anyone who thinks GGG should jeapordize that for a mandatory with 15 pro fights, and fighting him in 1 months notice is an idiot. What if GGG loses? Gets hurt ? It could happen. We are talking about a guy who has 3 of the 4 major belts, and has called out numerous world champs in his division. Calling GGG a duck is insane. I don’t even think he’s a hypocrite to be honest. He isn’t holding up “ the fight people want to see”. He’s actually protecting it. PEOPLE WANT TO SEE THE CANELO REMATCH! The moves by Team Golovkin are the right ones. And I promise you I am not a Golovkin fan.

Golovkin is old by now, and he's only after that money in the Canelo rematch...

Canelo better go down on his knees and blow GGG to get a fight with him. He clearly lost last fight, AND on PEDS

Oh he could have just pushed the fight back a month says the non-36 year old professional fighter.

GGG had already not fought since September. He was training to be ready for May 5th. He did not want to disrupt his schedule. The obvious plan is to have the WBA mandated Canelo rematch in September. Can't do that if he's fighting at some random date in June.

No it hasn't. Canelo withdrew on April 3rd. The fight was scheduled for May 5th.

This was a fight that was taking place in less than a month and only had a certain amount of money budgeted by HBO for the fight. Stop pretending these things weren't a factor.

Alvarez in September is the goal here. It's the money fight and the legacy fight for Golovkin.
If you accept that fact, than fighting a no risk fight in May makes sense. Fans will b1tch, but Golovkin's team will take the heat for a chance at the career payday.
It's true the Alvarez fight might not happen, but if there a 50/50 chance it does, you have to go for it, because the money's so good.

I couldn’t careless if they were factored or not. Am pointing to the hypocrisy with team GGG and the media who back in those days would accuse anyone who wouldn’t fight GGG in the same situation.

They didnt even try offering him anything. I heard he would of took $400K or less. He's on the wrong side of 30 and he knows he would have to wait at least until 2019 for a title shot. He's not scared of losing. He just wants to make a name for himself and knows beating GGG would of upset all their plans. IMO I think he wanted to beat GGG and then hound Canelo for a fight saying why fight him when I'm the new top dog...
