I heard that Vanes actually knocked Spike O'Sullivan in a late night, closed-door bareknuckle boxing match that they fought in secret for the entertainment of a shadowy society of wealthy men who practiced black magic.

Or maybe that was Sherlock Holmes.

Vanes coming off a 2 year layoff with 3 weeks training is a legit opponent? With Ronda Rousey's trainer?

He is on a 2 week notice. You have to take everything into consideration.

That's not a legit fight. Vanes couldn't beat GGG during his peak. You're trying to make the argument that a Vanes coming off a 2 year layoff, with Ronda Rousey's coach, with 3 weeks to train is a legit fight. That's not a legit fight.

I don't think anyone in the world would beat GGG at 160 anyways but given the budget that Canelo f@cked up and the limited time to prepare, that's a pretty solid opponent. I think he has a better shot than Spike O'Sullivan at least. And the circumstances around his preparation with the timeframe is irrelevant as long as he makes weight.

Andrade beat Vanes clearly. I gave Vanes 4 rounds but if you want to get creative he won 5 but that's too close.

Those are just excuses. Excuses don't make it a legit fight. If GGG were in training Abel wouldn't call Vanes for sparring because he's been out so long and it would be a waste of a sparring session & money.

What's the bottom for you as a GGG fan? Is there any fight you can think of that you wouldn't approve of?
