I'm calling it now, Canelo sticks it to GGG and doesn't give him the rematch in September for making a stink about the failed tests. I think we all know nothing would have come of any of this had GGG not started making noise about it. The WBC, NSAC, and GBP were all set to just call it a contamination issue and move on until Golovkin started getting loud.

the second test was 2 days later dawg...Two things:
- Why is the ban backdated to the FIRST failed test? Despite failing a later test, they're effectively wiping it and giving him a discount on his sentence for absolutely nothing.
- 6 months is weak. Guys like Adonis Stevenson take 11 months off at a time just for fun. Heck, Canelo took 6 months off in between Cotto & Khan. All they've done here is give him a rest.Comment

It's the precedent it sets, rather than the timing, that bothers me.
Come judgement for the next bloke, if tests are weeks apart (or worse), a fighter is going to argue the second failed test is a continuation of the first, and use this Canelo ruling to chop time off his punishment too.
In saying that, organizations, regulators and sanctioning bodies in this sport are all corrupt as ****, so precedent gets thrown out the window often.Comment

I will contact the NSAC and have them restructure the suspension to 6 months and 2 daysIt's the precedent it sets, rather than the timing, that bothers me.

I hope he fights Saunders too, would love to see BJS give him a boxing lesson. I doubt GBP will risk their cash cow after the thrashing Lemieux took.Comment
