Some rounds we're too close to call and can go either way so I'm not suprised that the result is a draw.

      Fair enough to both parties.
that's how i had it scored.

My notes and scores from the fight:

Round 1: lots of jabbing and missing...Taylor lands more to the body and a few rights to the head...Round Taylor 10-9

Round 2: Winky begins pressuring Jermain into corners, flicking and landing the jab and the occasional left. Taylor lands a few punches; but Winky lands more.. Round Wright 10-9

Round 3: Jermain's having trouble with Winky's defense. He missed a hook and Winky made him pay. Wink did more effective work............................Round Wright 10-9

Round 4: Back and forth action all round. Body work by both men, good work by Wright and Taylor in the corner. Jermain might have been stunned; but fought back well....................................Round Even 10-10

Round 5: Tough fight. Winky comes back to reassert control and continually forces Taylor into corners. Taylor appears to be trying to time Wright with not much success. Winky really dictating the pace.........Round Wright 10-9

Round 6: Winky's busy; but Jermain's beinning to time him well, catching Winky beautifully on the way in...lands several good solid shots................ Round Taylor 10-9

Round 7: Taylor starts off strong, moving Winky with his punches, even though they hit the guard most of the time; but Winky gradually works his way back into the round, winning the better part of the last two minutes.....Round Wright

Round 8: Winky controls the action for the most part of the round with the exception of a few flurries here and there. Jermain's waiting too long..............Round Wright

Round 9: Best round of the fight for Wnky as he controlled the pace. JT fought in spurts; but appeared hurt at one point...............................Round Wright 10-9

Round 10: Back and forth action as Taylor is determined to not let Winky dominate and countered every Wright salvo with one of his own..........................Round Taylor 10-9

Round 11: Winky came out to take back control...and did. Taylor appears tired. Winky's landing, Taylor's only firing occasionally and most of his punches are blocked................................Round Wright 10-9

Round 12: Winky wants it and comes out strong...very aggressive for him. Taylor's back keeps touching the ropes and the corners...he's very inactive. Dead tired? His eye appears completely closed at this point. Teacher vs student again................................ Round Wright 10-9

Final Tally: 117-112 or in rounds: 8-3-1.

There were several rounds that were close admittedly; but my notes reflect what was the lasting impression in my mind when the bell sounded from each round.

I had it 116-112 for Winky and the buddy I watched it with had it 115-113 Winky and he and I had a bet he was going for Taylor.Taylor did not win there is absolutely no case for that what so ever.

I had it 7-5 for Taylor, and I thought I gave Winky most of the close rounds, like the 3rd and the 11th, which could have gone either way.

I think many people are getting hung up and trying to pick out if punches are blocked or not, but I have news for you, the punches that hit Wright's gloves that made him punch himself in the face hurt him more than when Taylor was hit with the clean pitter punches of Winky. Winky mostly landed with his lead hand, a little jab and hook that was an arm punch.

At the end of the night, I was more impressed with Taylor than Winky. Taylor was firing with real power for the entire fight and Winky was mostly just trying to touch Taylor with arm punches and campaigning for rounds with his hands up and backing away like he had already won the round (in the 11th) and BS like that. If Taylor's eye hadn't been shut with that headbutt I think you'd have seen him sweep the championship rounds, which he almost did anyway.

It was a fight with a lot of close rounds, and in close rounds I usually go with the fighter who is throwing and landing with more power. Winky was backing Taylor up a lot, but not landing anything significant for the most part.

I have mentioned that much earllier in another thread. I knew Winky is going to go for Taylor because Taylor is weaker when backing up. But he is approaching Taylor with both of his arms up and his gloves covering his whole face not throwing punches so it's not that impressive.
