Originally posted by alexjust View PostNo surprises there. Suspension to create appearances, but no fine and only 6 months suspension. Give me a break. But if GGG doesn't get injured in the fight on May 5, he should be able to resume training and make it for Sept.15. If they postpone until May 2019, I'm afraid GGG might be a bit too old then for this sh$t. But all in all the delay plays in Canelo's favour.

Sounds like what most people expected. Get him right back into testing and let's get this rematch in September.
This at least makes it evident that a fighter is responsible for even potentially inadvertent drug consumption. Would suck to train Mexico now tho.

from golden boy:
“As we have maintained all along,” Golden Boy’s statement read, “the trace amounts of clenbuterol found in Canelo’s system in February came from meat contamination, and we provided the Nevada State Athletic Commission with a great deal of evidence to support those facts. Although most professional sports, international anti-doping agencies and United States boxing commissions treat meat contamination differently from other positive tests, Nevada does not.Last edited by icha; 04-18-2018, 01:13 PM.

So if he gets busted in the future . 2 year ban or life time ban? I am seriously trying to understand the rules.
