I have no problem with this fight. It was short notice and chances of getting a big name were slim. I'll give Triple G a pass on this one since his last two fights have been Jacobs and Canelo back to back. He will be fighting a big fight in the fall, so I don't mind Vanes Martirosyan as a fill in.

Unworthy fight. But GGG wants to make sure that if Canelo is able to fight in September that he saves himself for an 8 figure payday.

Hopefully they have a decent co main event and undercard.

I'm going to predict however that the night before the kid Ryan Garcia will get as much if not sell more than GGG's fight.

ya really need to stop with the excuses....

a short notice fight only benefits the fighter who's had the longer training camp, GGG....

derevyanchenko is the one who is at a disadvantage because it is a short notice fight

but derev's team said they are ready to go may 5th

so please all of ya cut out the excuses and call it for what it is... bullshit and he ducked derevyanchenko

Canelo had knee surgery last weekend, and he’s not able to fight on May 5th. Therefore, Vanes is another good opponent.

i think its a better fight than Spike and Munguia...why arent so many people ****ting on Tank for doing the same thing ? Both are making their opponents go up a weight class and both of their opponents havent fought since 2016...and Golovkin needed a replacement, Tanks opponent was the first option. But w/e i dont mind both fights

Man, this is borderline. I'm glad the IBF didn't strip The OG Triple G because of the really short notice caused by Canelo, but I wish GGG had picked a MW. Then again, it's probably extremely difficult to find a relevant soft touch MW on a few weeks notice.
