and he hasn't defended his IBF against a mando since dominic wade almost 2 years ago...

according to ibf rules he has to do that at after like 9 months etc

all of a sudden the ggg fans dont like the ibf....

when before LOTS of fans loved the ibf cuz they "actually enforce their mandatories"
You're both missing the point. I am not defending Vanes as an opponent, that's a whole other conversation.

The point is that IBF did NOT order SD to face Derevyanchenko, and they know they can't do that on a 4 week notice. In order to enforce a mandatory and strip the champion the following needs to happen:
    • Order a fight against mandatory
    • Give the parties time to negotiate
    • If negotiation leads to stalemate, order a purse bid
    • If nothing gets resolved and champion does not want to fight, he gets stripped.

They never even ordered a fight, let alone get to a purse bid. Heiland was a mandatory for more than a year, WBC did not strip Golovkin for fighting Brook and Jacobs because they never actually ordered him to defend against Heiland.

As for the date, that's silly. That's the date given to them by HBO. If he doesn't fight on May 5th, he loses the date and they have to go back to HBO and renegotiate. That's how it works for every single fighter.

Btw, yall are funny little b1tches. When he defends against mandatories, he's fighting cans. As soon as a fighter you previously never heard of tries to push for his shot and Golovkin doesn't want it, you're all over it. You'll whine at anything as long as your 'nemesis' looks bad.

Take that up with them. They said it, not me.
I read the same letter. I'm wondering if the IBF would only allow somebody ranked by them for May 5th?

Dude, there’s no debating this either Golovkin fights his mando in Chenko next or BJ Saunders to unify the belts or he can say goodbye to his IBF title. The IBF won’t be giveing Triple G an exception to fight anyone else, his mando is due either step up or lose the belt simple as that.

So GGG making the fight even after yesterday the IBF notified them that they refuse Vanes as an opponent and warn him that he would be stripped if he made the fight anyway. They must know Canelo suspension will be done before sept to allow the rematch. Otherwise why make this fight and why put out the NODRAW video yesterday if he is suspended for 1 year

thats my point too, the 4 week notice, the only one rushing a date is ggg, ibf does not need to order a fight for may, they can order him to fight sergiy next regardless of the date...
if ggg wants to do it in that date and can convince his mando then good for him, but like you said ibf cant just order a fight for that date..

they dont have to enfore their mando:

                      All Other Weight Divisions

                      1. Mandatory Defense Obligation
Each Champion so recognized by the IBF in his respective weight class from Mini Flyweight to Cruiserweight shall mandatorily defend his Championship within
nine (9) months after its acquisition by him in a contest scheduled for twelve (12)
rounds against a leading available contender as designated by the Championships
                      Chairman.

Once this initial mandatory defense obligation has been satisfied, the Champion shall defend his championship within intervals of no more than nine (9)
months against the leading available contender in his weight class
                      as designated bynthe Championships Chairman.
