    I'd say Roberto Duran. Buchannan and Leonard were obviously tough fights. Davey Moore was a softer touch but no pushover. Barkley wasn't great but he'd knocked out Hearns and considering Duran was 37 at the time, I'd say Duran damn sure earned it the hard way.

          James Toney never had anything handed to him in my opinion. He was an excellent fighter. He did get a couple of gifts in his first few defenses though.
