Who are the multi divisional champs who earned it the hard way instead of the promoters maneuvering and setting them up for title shots without fighting anybody relevant, like Broner having 4 titles but he probably only earned 2, I’d say Mikey Garcia has earned em who else?
Fighters that earned their titles?

I’m more of a hater than a fan but it’s hard to deny that Ward earned his legacy.Who are the multi divisional champs who earned it the hard way instead of the promoters maneuvering and setting them up for title shots without fighting anybody relevant, like Broner having 4 titles but he probably only earned 2, I’d say Mikey Garcia has earned em who else? -
yes he earned his legacy of being a fighter who cheated nonstop and was gifted fights. sure if you just look at boxrec it looks pretty nice, but if you watch the fights...oh my different story. seems like you are giving up and just giving ward credit for getting away with all his cheating. yes in that strange way he earned his legacy cause he had to cheat damn hard for it. other people prob would have had more dignity than to do the things he didLast edited by daggum; 04-17-2018, 09:20 PM.Comment

Maybe I worded it wrong but the question was what fighters earned multiple titles without bs promotional teams and match making. Ward fits that title. Like I said I’m more of a hater and his dirty style is why, but I was more comparing Ward’s career to that of a Broner who had carefull match making and a bunch of advantages. With Ward you have to put a lot of blame on refs for letting him get away with it. He did what did in the ring but got the W. If this thread was about what fighters excelled because of *****ty refs I’d mention him as well. But let’s be real, Ward didn’t accomplish what he did because of some promoter who put him in the right place at the right time.yes he earned his legacy of being a fighter who cheated nonstop and was gifted fights. sure if you just look at boxrec it looks pretty nice, but if you watch the fights...oh my different story. seems like you are giving up and just giving ward credit for getting away with all his cheating. yes in that strange way he earned his legacy cause he had to cheat damn hard for it. other people prob would have had more dignity than to do the things he didComment

Bruh I’m a hater. This is a question of winning legit belts. Ward may have been a diva and I think his clinching and headbutts were bs, but he wasn’t winning vacant belts. I love Pacquiao but does beating Tony at 150 for the 154 strap really count? That’s what this question was about.Comment
