Linares made the fight with Lomaputa because he has a better chance to win that fight. He wasn’t trying to get KTFO by Garcia. After Lomaputa slaps Linares to death he can still come back from that. Rebuilding your career after a devastating KO is harder.

Hopefully the WBC mandates that the winner of Lomaputa vs. Linares fights Garcia.

I think Lomaputa would drop that title so fast. If he did fight Garcia though I’d give him major props.

I think a lot of Mikey’s call outs are just to keep his name as relevant as possible, he never had any realistic intentions to fight Cotto or Spence IMO
