I think Mayweather is absolutely right and I'm leaning towards (a fit & healthy) Crawford eventually coming out on top! But I'm not gonna sleep on Thurman either. When he gets back in (no more bone spur) fighting shape, he can cause some problems & disruptions for Spence with that movement of his, I don't think his movement throws Crawford off, because Crawford is definitely craftier than Thurman is. But will he be as strong as either man at welter?....

Yeah I can't wait to see this fight 8 years from now when One or both of them is washed up.

I think it will be big but I don’t think it will be bigger than wilder/aj if promoted correctly.

It might be the best pure match-up on paper in terms of talent, standing etc; but I think to be the biggest in the sport you need either one of the fighters to be controversial or have a legion of nationalistic fans behind him or even better both and neither of these guys have it. They are low key guys who do their talking in the ring.

I think it's far more combined talent than just about any other match that could be made but not sure it's the event it deserves to be. Hopefully I'm wrong and the audience wises up and it's a mega event but that's hard to imagine.

I'd love to see this fight but I think that Thurman-Spence is the real big fight. It's the clear #1 VS #2, a unification of three belts, and there's been some bad blood brewing there for a while now. Plus Thurman has the star quality, much more than Bud or Spence. Bud hasn't established himself at 147 yet so that'll take time. If he does than the winner of Spence-Thurman would be a big fight in itself but that would take time and events to unfold.

We all know Mayweather is always the constant Machiavellian and is saying this because he's not too fond of Thurman calling him out years back.

Two Black American fighters that isn't afraid to fight each other in their primes, Dam right this is going to be the biggest fight in boxing. No ducking, Cherry picking, "Bizznizz man" talk, best fighting the best. The ONLY obstacle this fight is two non-Black en****** and that is HBO and Bob Arum!

Those skills are more proven at least on the big page.

At this point, you got one 4 divisions champ vs a 2 divisions champ + 2 olympian golds.

On the other side 1 division champ versus 2 division champ.
Crawford beat two different olympic gold medalists and beat the 4 division champ(garcia)

Crawdord needs Manny on his Resume
And Spence needs to finish off Thurman
Then the fight will be huge...

As far as it be No a big fight, 2 black fighters in the ring together have not produced a big fight in a long time. Black people just don't support black fighters like that anymore.
Factor in that black people only make up about 13% of America in the first place. As if it is black people solely responsible to support them. When 25% of black America is in poverty ($24,340/family of four). With a black poverty rate almost three times what is for whites and twice the rate of hispanics.

Love this post. But you mentioned HBO? It is Showtime and Bob Arum/ESPN that are the obstacles.
