From a skill standpoint, it's by far the best the sport has to offer. There's nothing that's even close. (I'd ranked Loma v. Garcia a distant second.)

However, they'd need some big name sacrifices on their resumes to make this fight a massive PPV. Considering the creative ducking and politriks that's taking place all over the sport, it'd take another 2 years minimum to build this fight up properly. By that time Crawford will be near retirement and Spence will probably be at 154.

We may never see this fight as things currently stand.
wilder vs aj is massive.. loma vs garcia would be big.. but if spence beats thurman and crawford beats horn.. this will be even bigger

That fight has everything, athleticism, ring IQ, fast hands, and power punches (upstairs and downstairs)! This should be a PPV fight in spring or summer of 2019!
Wilder vs joshua would be even bigger if wilder knocked out fury first and aj koed miller or ortiz after miller beat ortiz or Visa versa.. but truth is.. ortiz would stop aj.

So if Horn beats Crawford is it Horn vs Spence that will be the biggest fight in boxing?

I wish that Floyd Mayweather would talk up this matchup every day. And maybe lure them into a tweet battle lol.

I agree, the fight would be even bigger if Joshua KOs Povetkin, and Wilder KOs Miller! However, that's risky business! If one of them loses in 2018, then I don't think the fight is worthy of a PPV until Fall 2019 or later!

The best match up in boxing now, bar none. I don't see it happening till late next year, 2020, or never. It's more likely these two will end up in different divisions than fighting anytime soon.

Garcia/Lona would have more buys. Mexicans alone would make the fight a PPV success. Crawford last PPV fight tanked.

Two guys Floyd would not have gone near at any time during his career. It still needs time to build interest. Each of them needs about two more good fights that will help get them some much needed exposure. They need to fight Danny Garcia, winner of Vargas/Broner, Thurman, Khan. Tough to get these fights made when Garcia is content to play it safe, Thurman is always injured, and Khan will likely want a lot more money to risk it against either of them.
