I see all of them are now accountants with the “Flat fee” excuse. If the flat fees is 5 times what you usually earn then it can be considered a duck.

ITs an easy excuse , and to be honest wilder is going to push for more , why wouldn’t he?

But what happens if Joshua stands firm, well in my opinion if he doesn’t then accept the offer I will consider wilder ducking?

Why? Because wilder has few other options, Whyte for 7mil maybe is best option but otherwise probably 5-6 fights to make the same.

What about Joshua? Well to be honest he can easily justify fights against various others. Povetkin, Miller, Whyte, Haye,Fury. Let’s be quite frank he ‘could’ get away without fighting Wilder and still make a ton of money and still have good fights and sell out stadiums etc. In this time Wilder will be getting older.

What does this mean? Well in my view Wilder really should try to get the best offer, of course he should, but what he has been offered already is enough to take it if he really believes he will win. He would double that income again in any rematch and also significantly increases his revenue in future fights even without Joshua. Whyte, Fury, Parker will all be big match ups.

What it really comes down to does Wilder really believe he can win or is it all talk?

UK fans do not see Wilder as big a threat as Klitschko. I would be very surprised if it did similar PPV numbers.

UK fans see Wilder as ANOTHER overhyped American with a padded record and a big mouth. He's no different to Brezeale.

Lets not forget it's not just the money, Joshua is giving up 3/4 belts, the #1 status and the chance to become undisputed champion..... with that in mind, Wilder has no where to go other than Joshua to fulfil his supposed dream and at least unify.
