I don't think any of those are good. You must be joking. Pedraza is on par with those, actually better.

Davis only has 19 fights and 4-year pro experience compared to Linares's 47 fights and 17-year pro experience?

Talk to me about Gervonta's resume when he has 30 fights.

Davis's next opponent is far better than any of those guys as well. Crolla? Campell? Lol.. Davis would fuck them up in a few rounds like Walsh!

    Go cry elsewhere.

Add to that the fact that Linares is basically a fossil in boxing age and doesn't have any outstanding wins.

I felt kinda sorry for him in the DeMarco fight. It was quite embarrassing and looked **** in that fight, followed by the Thompson fight, where he was again KOed. I don't expect a competitive fight against Lomachenko.

Who has he really beaten since then?
Linares is quick when he's punching, but that's about it. I don't think he's exceptional in any other way. Look at what Thompson was able to do to him and Thompson is far from a really skilled fighter. Add to the fact that Linares' face is made of paper mache.

Many people want you to forget that as if it never happened. Many are also trying to erase Loma's Salido loss by wishful thinking, as if it had happened eons ago in a different galaxy. It was just a few years ago, in 2014. I don't get those excuses, either.

Cuellar coming up in weight off the back of a loss and about a year and half of inactivity is not a better credentialed opponent than Crolla who brought into the ring activity, a world title, the #1 ranking in the division and a run of good performances nor is it better than Luke Campbell who'd most likely beat Davis.

Davis has been a pro 5 years also. Linares at Davis' age (23) had a better resume and more skill than Davis at that point. I wouldn't bet on Davis having a better career than Linares who didn't quite live up to that early promise but still came out having a good career. Linares lost his way for a bit but bounced back well. His career before his first loss was more impressive than Davis' to date and his career post Thompson is more impressive. He's just a more impressive and proven fighter. Sorry.

Don't have to make excuses, it is what it is, Loma took a bold chance and it was a learning experience. I guess you prefer fighters who are fed pablum for years? Personally I think that is the bane of the sport these days.

In all seriousness, I think Loma losing to Salido was the best thing that could've happened to him. Not that he is infallible, but, they got that loss out of the way. It is not something that lingers on their mind because it already happened. They don't have to listen to all of the undefeated jargon.

I'm not sure who Loma loses to, but, I don't really see it happening in the near future. I expect him to win vs. Linares and I think that if Manny is able to beat Lucas, Arum will set up a passing of the torch if you will and have Manny and Loma fight one another and I'd take Loma to win that fight.

I'm a Loma fan, too, and don't really hold that Salido loss much against him. He's one of the current fighters that I could call "great" without any hesitation. I never use that title for many fighters.

However, when people try to justify it to the point of fanboyism, I disagree and point out that it was a legitimate loss, which would never disappear, no matter how hard they try to wish it away.
