This is ridiculous! It's the Commonwealth championship, so how does "Joey come lately" get a crack at the title over the likes of Simon Kean or Junior Fa ETC? There's 53 countries in the Commonwealth & a lot more worthy contenders then the Joe Joyce. The English H/W title is currently vacant, so how about matching him with the likes of Webb, Gorman or Dubrois??..........

I don't think Dubois is ready in any case? Joyce is being moved quickly due to his age, DDD will be handled with more care I suspect?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to it however it got made

Seems tough and durable though and good power, so that should get him pretty far in todays heavyweight division
I actually like this fight. Thomas is a pretty tidy boxer. It will be a good test for Joyce after a few fights.

Good fight. In the ams Joyce generally excelled against movers despite his slowness, e.g. Dychko, so I hope he will look good here
And as much as I hate to put money in Haye's pocket I think this card is now worth buying

Random Q for anyone. What other HW's have been moved THIS quick, quicker or comparably quick in there career with so few pro fights?
Only guy coming to mind off the top of my head is Peter Rademacher who fought Patterson in his pro debut & had a pretty impressive resume overall (as far as names, not necessarily W's, think he lost all his biggest fights).Last edited by joe strong; 04-16-2018, 10:02 AM.

Dubois and Gorman with Warren, Joyce with Haye who is working with Matchroom on the Haye Bellew fight and may have asked for Joyce to be accommodated as part of the deal?
