Would have been? That "massive" fight can still get done the other 2 fights already happen.

Fucking moron, so he had the Brook fight there, massive pay, massive domestic grudge match but he was “Desperate?”. This is why some people have a hard time warming to him.

Khan moved to 147 and was angling for the Floyd/Pac payday for years, meantime avoiding taking any risky fights (eg Brook) that might see him losing his place in line if he lost. He gambled for the big payday and it didn't pay off for him.

Canelo was a pretty big payday for him, and he could maintain his claim to credibility at 147 as that fight was at 155. Same dynamic with Brook who maintained credibility at his own weight even if losing to the bigger Golovkin.

His only money fight now is the one he avoided for so long, Brook. But Brook is now at 154, so Khan has to ease his way up to that weight to try make it happen (Lo Greco at 150). In the past he insisted on a 70% cut vs Brook, Presumably as a way to make sure it didn't happen (aka amount he required for potentially losing his place in line with Floyd/Pac), and it remains to be seen what percentage he would finally agree to with Brook now that there are no real other alternatives. As Brook has a belt (albeit a namby pamby one), Khan might have to settle for 40% to 45%, else, once again, the fight might not happen. Hearn will want to make it though as he manages both of them now, so that's the fight that likely happens and Hearn will just have to knock some sense into Khan (gently though, what with that chin and all).

I really wanted a big super fight and I wanted my name up on the Vegas strip. It's always been my dream. The Mayweather fight got so close many times, which never seemed to happen. Should I have taken that fight? Maybe not. It was a massive opportunity for me. I don't regret it no.
He wanted a superfight with his name on the Vegas strip. Even Froch who fought at Wembley said his dream was a Vegas fight. You're comparing apple to oranges. Wembley is nice. But it aint Vegas. The dream of all fighters is to have a big fight in Vegas

The Brook fight would have been big in the UK, but he already was a household name in the UK. He said he wanted a big fight in Vegas, so Canelo probably was one of the only options for him.

He wanted a fight in Vegas which is why he fought Collazo, Alexander and Algieri instead of Brook?
