Comments Thread For: Frampton-Donaire, Bellew-Haye, Linares-Loma: Enjoy The Ride

By Tris Dixon - IT does not always have to be about the next fight or the one afterwards. Sometimes it is just about the fight. Recently, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder made their way by the respective challenges of Joseph Parker and Luis Ortiz. They were significant contests in their own right, but those in the sport and not in team Parker or Ortiz felt they were hors d'oeuvres before the main course, Wilder-Joshua, later this year...

I don't want to hate but, in all honesty, Donaire vs Frampton is meh... meaningless. Haye-Bellew is a freak show. The only really interesting fight is Loma-Linares

The writer is correct. What is next is not always better than what is now.

But.... Lomanchenko/Garcia??? Come on now. Of course we are thinking ahead to that possibility. Is there anyone out there who loves this sport that wouldn't trade all three of these and a match-up to be named later for that one?

As the saying goes, styles make fights and this can be somewhat engineered with good matchmaking in the first place. I agree all three fights are worth watching for interest. I’d add Khan Vs Greco to the list, it’s really a nothing fight but if Khan exhibits no regression and even, dare I say even improvement, then he’s back in the mix and always fun to watch.

I didn't understand A DAMN THING he was writing about! and yes OMG, when I read Lomachenko and Linares in the same sentence with the Bellend and Gaymaker I put down my vap and went to the kitchen for some coffee -- '' I'm high as **** right now.'' I said.
