IMO Broner represents everything that’s wrong with boxing today. As fans, we’ve given too much power to the networks, promoters, and sanctioning bodies. Since Broner sells tickets and gets good TV ratings. The networks and promoters keep him relevant. If by some miracle he beats Vargas, you best believe he’ll be in another big fight, probably against Thurman. If he loses, and there’s a good turnout for the fight and it does good TV ratings. He’ll likely fight a fringe contender or two in Cincinnati. Then find himself in a title fight at 140.

Much props to Broner he didn't have to take this fight. Who replaces an injured opponent with somebody even more dangerous? he could've easily picked a walking punchinc bag to practice combinations on and get a easy W.

With the new trainer Cunningham I expect Broner to be more offensive. The last trainer he had seemed very beta, his voice carried no weight in the corner and AB had zero respect for him. Cunningham doesn't take no sht and would verbally obliterate his own fighter on the corner.

Unlink many ppl I'm not looking at this as "if Broner loses he's finished" because like I said he went from a good opponent in Figeroa to a more solid and accomplished one in Vargas.

If Cunningham can't bring the dog out of him no one can. I expect to see a more aggressive AB.

There was a point in time when u could of challeged floyd but, u chosed to be his buddy or sidekick!!! Then u started wanting to be like floyd! Also acting outrageous and hanging out and partying! Just like Camacho!!
Ill say it again had u challenged floyd back then u woulda been more richer and more respected!!!
                  Even if u lost.
Challenge Floyd at what weight? Challenge Floyd for what? He merely should have humbled himself and followed the blueprint and he would have been fine. He has done what Floyd had not even done becoming a four division weight champion by 28! He was NEVER in any position to challenge Floyd when he could barely get past Paulie and Maidana demolished him. Humbling himself and going back to a weight he was comfortable fighting and/or growing into would have been better. He honestly should have rededicated himself to 135lbs and gone for undisputed champion in that division.
